ATHR is proud to present its 7th edition of YSA -- an Open Call for talented young Saudi-based emerging artists and, for the first time, will be open for MENA applicants. As the country celebrates the year of Arabic calligraphy, our theme for this year aims to appreciate and celebrate the importance accorded to Arabic calligraphy.

‎‏For this occasion, ATHR is looking into contemporary expressions of calligraphy and for artists who work across a range of styles, engaging with the medium and its history.  ATHR team and a group of leading judges will carefully select applicants, whose works will be presented in a highly-sought out group exhibition on November 2021.

YSA APPLICATION CRITERIA:

• Open to Saudi nationals, Saudi residents & MENA applicants
• Open to all art media that use contemporary forms of calligraphy.
• Open to emerging artists from all age groups
• Applicants can’t have more than 5 previous opportunities showcasing their work. (First time exhibitors can apply)
• Applicants must be seriously considering art as their career path.
