We are pleased to announce our participation in Frieze London with a solo representation by Ahmed Mater.
In the past few decades, surveillance technologies have become an omnipresent impetus in encamping remote geographies, drastically transforming the principal rule of conflict. Ahmed Mater presents a new body of work that cautions against the framework within which these technologies have been deployed, mapping the various sophisms underscoring drone discourses, and crystalizing the carnage of asymmetrical power structures. Presented through cartographic ways of seeing and knowing, these technologies are mediated through a material modality of encountered cartographies.
