Aisha Nasser Al-Sowaidi is a multidisciplinary designer based in Doha, Qatar. Her designs are an expression of a local designer towards the fast developing country, globalisation, and traditions.

Aisha rethinks the forms of the daily objects within a household, moving the traditional artefacts towards contemporary forms and functions.

Her work is inspired by childhood memories and the altered remembrance of moments in the past. In attempts in reliving a certain memory, she created a series of work manipulating the altered memory into functional objects. She holds an MFA in Design Studies and a BA in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar.
